We love to support our community! Our goal is to lift as you rise.

On being a good corporate citizen:  We partner with other “made in Calgary” businesses to give them a leg up by profiling their company and products in-store. In fact, we have been some local companies first customers, which has led them to use that platform as a springboard to even greater success not just locally but across Canada.

On being a charitable community supporter: This is another area where we really walk the talk. We just finished a fundraiser for the World Police and Fire Games, where we did BBQ boxes to raise funds for their international competition happening in a few days in Winnipeg. Another organization that we are really passionate about is PEO (Philanthropic Women’s Education), where we do multiple fundraisers with them throughout the year on things like BBQ, Turkeys for Thanksgiving, Gift cards at Christmas, etc. This organization raises money for women’s post-secondary education. A third cause that we really get behind is mental health and addictions and we support a bunch of groups under this banner with various fundraisers throughout the year. Ongoing, we also donate food and make sandwiches for the Drop In Centre, as well as do fundraisers for church groups, sports teams, local artists and community groups like the Scouts.

On being a cultural community supporter: We are proud Scandinavians and love to educate the public on our weird and wonderful Viking heritage. We partner with the local Scandinavian cultural groups like the Danish Canadian Club, Scandinavian Center, Sons of Norway, NaverKlub etc to promote the cultural customs and traditions. It’s a lot of fun – Vikings are a truly a unique group worth preserving in the Canadian cultural mosaic.
